Breakfast this morning was steel cut oats in an almost empty jar of white chocolate wonderful peanut butter. Coffee was enjoyed on the side. Perfect fuel for a long day at work.
A bit of a change this morning- Chai spiced pear and buckwheat porridge with banana, figs, walnuts and a drizzle of maple syrup. Interesting, but I think I still prefer my oatmeal

so i have this 3 hour period between my first job and my other job so naturally im reading forums on letsrun.com
and theres this post about a girl who publicized her experience with an eating disorder while running D1 and how her coach put pressure on her to lose weight and her teammates would compete to see who could be thinnest and all that stuff that happens sometimes

do you ever think about how weird humans are in modern society
like
we look for physical activities that our body is least efficient at doing (aka burning the most calories)
and we search for ways to make our bodies less energy efficient (aka raising our metabolism)
idk its not like bad i guess its just weird like why do we need to do that ya know
after! i have tried running on an empty stomach and it just doesn’t fly i have no energy
