Breakfast this morning was steel cut oats in an almost empty jar of white chocolate wonderful peanut butter. Coffee was enjoyed on the side. Perfect fuel for a long day at work.
A bit of a change this morning- Chai spiced pear and buckwheat porridge with banana, figs, walnuts and a drizzle of maple syrup. Interesting, but I think I still prefer my oatmeal

“It’s odd that female athletes care so much about how they’re performances are perceived by coaches, spectators, etc. Everybody is there for the main event (Men’s race) and they just cheer for the corresponding jersey color in the women’s race.
Sorry. I heard this from multiple spectators.”

and theres this post about a girl who publicized her experience with an eating disorder while running D1 and how her coach put pressure on her to lose weight and her teammates would compete to see who could be thinnest and all that stuff that happens sometimes

“I’d just like to point out that it is stories like this (which are common) that just goes to prove women should not be running (or competing in competitive sports for that matter). They simply can not handle the pressure.”
You’ll reach a point in which old race shirts and running shorts are not only what you wear running, but what you wear to bed, to school, to parties…

do you ever think about how weird humans are in modern society
we look for physical activities that our body is least efficient at doing (aka burning the most calories)
and we search for ways to make our bodies less energy efficient (aka raising our metabolism)
idk its not like bad i guess its just weird like why do we need to do that ya know
after! i have tried running on an empty stomach and it just doesn’t fly i have no energy
if you run
you = runner!
